Iran Detains Iranian-American Man Working for George Soros’ Institute?
Before you left wing nuts go crazy this is coming from your Boy George Soros. It will be amusing now if the media which Soros controls reacts to this. CAIRO, Egypt — Iran has detained an Iranian-American consultant working for George Soros’ Open Society Institute, the latest U.S. citizen connected to a non-governmental establishment to be seized in the country, the institute said Wednesday. The detention of Kian Tajbakhsh comes amid a crackdown on NGOs at a time when Iranian authorities accuse the United States of using critics and dissidents to overthrow the country’s hard-line government. Tajbakhsh, an urban plotting consultant who has also worked for the World Bank, was detained on or about May 11, the Open Society Institute — a private foundation that encourages democracy-building — said in a statement. “We are concerned for his safety and call for his immediate release,” the statement said. It said the 45-year-ancient Tajbakhsh was working as a consultant for the insitute since 2004 “with the knowledge of the Iranian government.” Iranian officials could not be reached to comment on the detention. Earlier this month, Iranian authorities arrested Haleh Esfandiari, director of the Middle East Program at the Washington-based Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars. Esfandiari, also an Iranian-American, was charged Monday with setting up a network to overthrow the Islamic establishment, the government announced. The Wilson Center denied the charges. “Haleh is a scholar and has never been a spy,” said Lee H. Hamilton, the center’s president and director. Esfandiari’s work had involved bringing Iranian scholars and others to the U.S. to give talks on the situation in Iran. The detentions come as tensions have mounted between the United States and Iran, even as the two countries prepare to hold ambassador-level talks in Baghdad on calming Iraq’s violence. The United States accuses Iran of backing militants in Iraq and of seeking to build nuclear weapons, accusations that Tehran denies. U.S. Navy ships with 17,000 sailors and Marines went into the Persian Gulf on Wednesday for air training exercises in a show of military force off Iran’s coast. Esfandiari had been in Iran visiting her ailing 93-year-ancient mother when she was prevented from leaving in December, when her passport was stolen. She was interrogated repeatedly before her eventual arrest and has since been held at Iran’s notorious Evin prison, where dissidents are often held. When it announced the charges against Esfandiari, the Iranian Acumen Ministry accused Soros’ New York-based Open Society Institute of being involved in the plot to set up the network to overthrow the government. The institute said Wednesday that Tajbakhsh had been consulting “to facilitate public health, humanitarian help and urban plotting projects that we undertook openly and with the knowledge of the Iranian government.” He is also a senior research fellow at the New School in New York City, it said. Another Iranian-American, journalist Parnaz Azima, who works for the U.S.-funded Radio Farda, has been prohibited from leaving Iran since her passport was seized in January. She has been interrogated several times by acumen agents since, the journalists rights group Reporters Without Borders said in a statement Wednesday. Another American, former FBI agent Robert Levinson, disappeared in March after going to Iran’s resort island of Kish, and his position are unknown. Reporters Without Borders said a French-Iranian journalism student, Mehrnoushe Solouki, was arrested in February. She was released in March on bail but her passport was taken away and she has been unable to leave the country, it said.all westerners in Iran are suspect.
It is still a pity that in Iran foreigners are viewed as suspects and their basic human dignity is insulted. They should be taught a permanent lesson and the entire human race should condemn such acts and ensure that such barbaric acts are place down with iron hands !!
Can I get some feedback on this?
To Whom It May Concern at AEA 13: We are writing as students of (my high school) in regard to the effects of one’s socioeconomic status (SES) on their education. The driving question of which we have determined a basic appreciative of is the effects of socioeconomic status (SES) on a student’s education. In attempt to reach a conclusion to this seemingly overlooked question, we have gathered in rank from several outside sources. After comparing the ITED test results of four different schools associated with the AEA 13 program, including our own, we have come to a realization that the schools typically seen as ‘higher end’ tend to excel greatly more than the others. The following compared test results of Treynor Junior-Senior High School, Lewis Central High School, (my school), and Thomas Jefferson High School are as of 2007 and include both reading and math averaged as one. Treynor test scores are 91.5% on average, followed by Lewis Central at 78%; then by Abraham Lincoln at 72%. Thomas Jefferson High School’s scores, on the other hand, dwindle at a mere 63%. The money granted to this program, from foundations such as Iowa West, should be spread in a different manner, since it appears that some schools are excelling more than others. According to Dr. Martha Bruckner, Director of ______, SES is “usually measure by students who receive free and reduced cost lunches.” The schools that have a higher percentage of free or reduced lunches tend to have lower test scores. Schools with fewer students receiving free or reduced cost lunches tend to earn decent test scores. If the distributions of grants are reconsidered, test scores might improve as struggling students are offered more help. Although we realize that financial issues are not the entirety of the problem, it is still something that should be reevaluated for future decisions. Another factor of low test scores may be the students’ home lives. Students brought up in low-income families with parents lacking motivation and dependability will typically show these examples for their children. These examples set by the parents could possibly be a cause of these low test scores. AEA 13 has the power to distribute money as necessary and should take advantage of this ability to make a difference in our area. This plot for change may not drastically improve test scores, but it will make a difference in the lives of these students. In conclusion, the main issue that needs to be resolved, or at least considered, is the distribution of money within the schools of the AEA 13 program. This goes hand-in-hand with the graduation rate of the (my town) area. The 2006 Graduation rate for (my town) was 68.6%, while nearly 50% of the total number of students received free or reduce cost lunches. There is a connection between education and socioeconomic status that needs to be addressed promptly. Schools that are scoring in the low 90s on their ITEDS evidently have control of their education and realize the importance of their futures. So why is grant money being spread to schools that are already doing well in school? Our focus should be shifted toward those who require additional help in terms of education and who must obtain at least a high school education in order succeed in the real world and become productive citizens of our society. P.S. Sorry this is so long, but I would really appreciate some feedback. This is a letter for a sociology project and it will be sent to some vital people, so it needs to sound excellent! Serious answers please Ok I didn’t know this was that hard. Let’s just say if you do well at this sort of thing, then answer and let me know what you reckon. Seriously, I’m not going to change my writing just for one person. I just need thoughts.i just scrolled down to the last word im sorr what?
I really read it Im tired now lol but uh no its a very well-written ummmm howjusay REPORT? idk but it sounded excellent for me and i felt sorry cuz you didnt have any answers but one
You’re quoting highly academic data which was included in your socioeconomic study. Do you not know that your open letter is being read by laymen/laywoman. Some of which never finished High School. Some of which have personal problems and don’t know where to turn because of lack of education or lack of support or lack of direction. AND YOU EXPECT TO GET FEEDBACK FROM THEM. And if you did get feedback from people who really don’t know what you were studying, then inclusion of that feedback will taint your study and your conclusions. Sociologically, you have not learned how to break down your comments so that a majority can know them. Your verbal theatrics have made me sleepy. Excellent night.

10 pts!! Is my personal statement excellent? (fascinating I promise)?
There are people who find their interests quickly and those who take time to figure out what they want to do with their lives. My parents made an simple route by building a foundation where I was able to learn and adapt to changes quickly. They lived their lives for their future generation, so that I can live a better life than them. They have run businesses that have both failed and succeeded. Being a keen observer of their daily stresses and learning solutions for their businesses has made me learn a fantastic deal about how people in the workplace function. Assisting my parent’s businesses at a young age has shifted my work ethic from an employee’s to a manager’s perspective. I have learned that a company will survive if employees prioritize to the organizational goal while managers listen and offer feedback to circulate the union. If each employee were to envision the life of a business owner, they will acknowledge the challenges and risks involved. Opening a business obliges the awareness of dependability and prompts a person to maintain the asset. Given that, a company can easily collapse if there is lack of a shared vision. Bearing that in mind at an early age, has prompted me to be internally motivated to succeed for my parent’s profits and in turn, has made me become motivated to succeed in all aspects of my work, including school. Now, I search for that intrinsic motivation in others, hoping there is that quality manifested in their personality. My passion for the field of Industrial Organizational Psychology stems from my introspection and has inspired me to want to help improve companies by finding the best fit of personnel because I strongly believe strategies of recruitment and retaining individuals, build a solid foundation for a company. To set myself up for a future for becoming a Human Resource Manager, I am currently double majoring in interaction and psychology as a basis for appreciative the underlying meaning of what inspires people. Thoughts start at a micro-level, and turns into mini projects in a community that eventually aims to reach the holistic goal. To further my passion in human resources, I started volunteering at the Student Recruitment and Retention Center, which is a student-run establishment that strives to recruit students of colors into higher education and retaining them. Within the Student Recruitment and Retention Center, there are 9 components where I have specifically chosen an internship with the Graduate Academic Achievement Advocacy Program because they recruit students who want to further their education while retaining graduate students at UC Davis. There is not one program on campus that is aimed towards Graduate School and I believed that many undergraduates, including myself, would benefit from a program that is geared specifically towards higher education. Together, my team administers surveys to meet student’s needs and quickly find strategies to fulfill them. Many undergraduates, including myself sought for a mentor for help for the process of applying to graduate school. Quickly, our team organized a mentor/mentee mixer where apprentice students could specifically choose which graduate students we were most compatible with. Our essential motive was to build a community of interest and network for graduate students and undergrads to connect because eventually, students in the same field with become collgueaes. Also, another request was to have research classes, where students were to be able to conduct their own research of interest in the community, find results, and apply their results to our community setting. I believe that I am already doing what I want to be doing on a micro level in my community. My enthusiasm for helping others to overcome barriers defines me on a holistic level. When it comes to employment, I will find an adequate person for a job and finding the right person means to retain them. I hope to learn all the strategies and every aspect of Industrial Establishment to fulfill the organizational goals within a company. In graduate school, I hope to conceptually know how the workplace can improve and utilize what I learn and apply it to clinical practices. I believe I already have the passion and some knowledge of how and why people behave. I know graduate studies will give me a firm foundation to continue my career path. I have worked with Professor Grimm as his research assistant and am familiar with using SAS and R. I have a specific interest in cross-cultural studies and would be pleased to work with Sharon Glazer as part of my journey. I want to know if people are triggered to be motivated in the same way. From my introspection, I saw that people who are more motivated finished up being more pleased and are more successful. I wanted to know under what conditiWow, my first impression is that you have written far too much. What is the personal statement intended for, if its for your CV then it certainly is to long. Excellent content but you need to make it more concise.

Is my personal statement excellent? 10 pts!! fascinating!?
I can’t add the whole thing here based to limit but here is my first two paragraphs. Please help me concise it, edit, grammar. revise. etc . Thank you SOOO much 10 pts!! Observing my parent’s businesses throughout my life has sparked my interest in wanting to become a humanly resourceful person, who can improve the workplace both physically and expressively. Being a keen observer of their daily stresses and learning solutions for their businesses has made me learn a fantastic deal about how people in the workplace function. One dimension of success lies within the worker’s quality of thinking. At a young age, my work ethic has shifted from an employee’s to a manager’s perspective. I have learned that a company will survive if employees have the mindset of prioritizing the establishment’s goal while managers listen and offer feedback. There were employees in my parent’s first business who didn’t have integrity which caused my parent’s business to fail. Watching them suffer for a moment, made me reckon of how I could improve their situation. With some introspection, I quickly learned why I was internally motivated to succeed. I believe motivation comes from pain and pleasure. I was heartbroken from seeing my parents failed at their first business and has made me what to help them with all my will. My pleasure came from seeing them not giving up and having the will to become successful with the current business they have now. I believe people are motivated by different experiences and knew that each employee needed to find a reason to be motivated. Knowing this at an early age has made me become encouraged me to succeed in all aspects of my work, home duties, and even school. Now, I know to search for that intrinsic motivation in others, hoping to find that quality manifested in their personalities. My passion for the field of Industrial Organizational Psychology stems from my experience of seeing the grief that my parent’s endured when their business collasped, but they still managed to succeed in opening a new one. I have been inspired by them and want to help improve companies by finding the best fit of personnel because I strongly believe strategies of recruitment and retaining individuals, build a solid foundation for a company. To prepare for my future of becoming a Human Resource Manager, I am currently double majoring in Interaction and Psychology as a basis for appreciative the underlying meaning of what inspires people. To further my passion in human resources, I started volunteering at the Student Recruitment and Retention Center, which strives to recruit and retain students of colors into higher education. Each week, I find tutors from each department and activities for students to connect to make them feel part of a group. The best way I have found to retain students is to make them feel involved in a group activity, then they will know they have a duty and find an interest in staying in school and doing well. In the end, everyone is close and they are satisfied as their job as a student. I have also chosen an internship with the Graduate Academic Achievement Advocacy Program because I believe I would benefit from it most and drop-out rates are high. Together, my team administers surveys to find student’s needs and quickly develop strategies to that offer support concerning the attention process of Graduate School. Many undergraduates, including myself sought a mentor for help for the process of applying to graduate school. This project was successful because our essential motive was to build a community of similar interest and network graduate students and undergrads because eventually, students in the same field will become colleagues. Also, another request was to have research classes, where students were to be able to conduct their own research. At U.C. Davis, I have worked with Professor Grimm as his research assistant and am familiar with using SAS and R. I am contributing my thoughts of what I have learned in my empirical research class and my help with Professor Grimm to the research class. Thoughts start at a micro-level, and turn into mini projects in a community that eventually aim to reach the holistic goal of improving education. I am already undertaking what I want to be on a micro-level in my community. My enthusiasm for helping others overcome barriers is what defines my personality and work ethics. When it comes to employment, I will find adequate people for a job and finding the right person and finding ways to retaining them to build them into more strong individuals. I hope to learn every feature of Industrial Establishment to fulfill the organizational goals within a company. My last paragraph talks about how if this motivation is universal? because I am interested in cross cultural studies. if it is universal.. lets test it and appy what we learn in workplace to improve it.. etcYes!!!
