college student loans? Student Aid Bc Online

college student loans?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can find a cheap interest rate private loan for college? I know you have to fill out the applications online now so what are some excellent sites to go to? I graduate in a year and a half and dont want to have to pay back 30,000 dollars when I only borrowed 10,000. Please help! I need some direction! PS I filled out the fafsa and I dont get any financial aid bc apparently my parents make too much money so please dont suggest things that the fafsa offers bc I dont have access to those loans!

There are a number of new, low interest loans out there. Check with the college student aid office. This all came down in the last couple weeks. Student loans are better, simpler to get, and the interest rate has been cut substantially. Check it out. You will be hearing some excellent news. Private banks, by the way, are looking for students to loan money to.

sallie mae and astrive are the only ones off the top of my head. have you thought about separating yourself from your parents taxes so they dont claim you anymore? when you do that, your EFC obviously goes way down. then you could maybe qualify for free money and not loans!! excellent luck!

Financial Aid For Independent Students

Can my school charge me for upcoming classes?

Hi! I am a student attending online class at the University of Phoenix and I was waiting on some recovery funds to post to my account, as soon as they were to post my school puts up a high balance (1950) on my invoice for my classes that don’t start until March 31st that I have Financial Aid to cover for, so now the recovery funds are going to be depleted because they have my upcoming classes showing as a outstanding balance. Is this legal? And why all of a sudden? I am figuring that they just want to make sure they get paid 1st. Idk…but I need those funds, are they right? Or could I dispute the fact that I don’t owe a outstanding balance bc my classes don’t start until March 31st and I have financial Aid to cover them. I want my recovery funds sent to me’! Help!

I would suggest that you google “University of Phoenix scam” and read some of the material you find there. You could also read the Wikipedia article on the University of Phoenix here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_phoenix The University of Phoenix is a for-profit school, meaning it makes money off its students. This makes it different from public colleges and private, nonprofit colleges, which spending more money educating their students then they take in as tuition. You might want to reckon about whether you want to continue your education there.

Student Financial Aid South Africa

I’m a teachers aid in a room full of children who don’t want to learn.?

I’m a senior this year, and I have a hole in my schedule so I was placed in 9th grade english classroom, but my fav english teacher wanted me to help her so I transferred into her classroom. I like the teacher but I can’t stand the students. Its a lower level class, so all they do is rap, dance, cuss, and question to use the bathroom all the time. Have you ever seen lean on me, they need joe clark in this particular class? Well these kids come from lower social- economic classes. And maybe they didn’t have parents to teach how to act, but that’s not an excuse. The kids drop the f bomb when ever necessary, granted in the middle of the teachers sentence, but the F bomb isn’t the only F. I looked at the test grades on their desk. It was a simple reading check multiple choice test and I saw 30s, 40s, 50, and a hand full of excellent grades. They are loud all the time, and i seriously cant take it. That’s not the way I was raised, just wanna line them up and give many of them job attention at walmart and McDonald’s, oh and while they are lined up, i should pass out belts to the boys and girls with baggy pants…. Should I stay bc they obviously dont like me bc i tap them when they fall asleep, or tell them to pay attention. But i dont want them to reckon they have won, or should I just drop out and add an online course into my schedule. It’s hard for me to stay silent anymore…. They are the reasons for stereotypes!

im sorry, but maybe try to relate with them? i just finished grade 9, and there were deffinetly a lot of students like that, and to be honest i was kind of like that, but only to teachers i didnt like, i had noticd that i generaly didnt do well in clases that had teachers i didnt like :) try to get them to want to learn and slowly itll work, just dont yell at them, by yelling at them your only going to get a sassy comeback, but if you do it calmly and clarify to them why what theyre doing is incorrect, they cant start spazzing, or yell at you, or start swearing without looking liike an idiot overreacting, so they wont :)

Its so common and its not your fault. They (parents) will try to pin it on you though because its mostly their own fault. You can try to relate to them or somehow make them interested but its going to be rough and hit or miss at best. I hope you can find a job elsewhere because its going to tough. They simply don’t know why they should be in school and the best option would be to send them out in the world and hopefully they will come to appreciate it. I know, there is no simple answer, and it sucks. This country needs to see what it would be like if they got no education at all and then maybe they will pay us teachers a small better and work with us instead of against us all the time. Excellent luck!

BEAT THEM!!!

If you can, give them a teaching assignment. Each student is given something that he/she must teach in the following weeks. You can probably fit in 2-3 students to teach per class hr, so this experiment will take about 2 wks. (depending on class size, obviously!)

Anyway, it puts them in the teaching position – great for them – they have to study it so that they can teach it. And it will possibly change their behavior slightly!

I understand. However, just stop stressing about it. You’re the teacher’s AIDE not the teacher. This is your favorite teacher you’re talking about, if she could “change” them into behaving better don’t you think she would have, could have, tried? I understand you want to help them succeed, become better students and just in general shape up. But if someone who has had at least 4 years of college education and experience in this field can’t do it, don’t you think its a little bit over your reach to cause a radical change?

If you like your teacher enough to overlook those qualities and bite your tongue, bless your heart. You have more patience than I do. However, if it were me, I’d just get up and move on.

Hi Princess,
I wish that I could guarantee that what I share with you will help you to motivate the children in your class, nonetheless, this is what I suggest. You will need a computer and printer. Go to Google and type – ‘Voted the best email this year’, look at and copy as many of the photos as you can. One photo in particular shows children in a Third World Country using their fingers scratching in the dirt to learn their lessons. Other photos show men and women working unbelievable hard to make a living. Clearly, if they were educated, they would not be engaged in the soul-destroying work they are engaged in. Best to Make A4 copies on Glossy paper.

Then, do a search on – ‘Nick Vujicic -No Arms, No legs, No Worries’. If there is a computer in the classroom, then you could click on each video and let the children see Nick in action. He has no arms and no legs. His message is powerful and should impact all the children when they see the difficulties he has to overcome each day compared to how easy it is for them. Nick perseveres and gets on with his life and his education. There are several short videos. I bought a copy as titled above because I mentor students at a local college.

Two more for you to look at – Daniela Garcia Chile and Jessica Cox Tucson – amazing stories of two beautiful young women students. Print out copies of their stories and read them to the children. Print some photos also for greater impact. Use Glossy photo paper. Get your teacher to help or do this and I promise, you will find it invaluable information.

If they don’t work in class, ask them what would happen if their Moms and Dads refused to work at home or in the jobs they have? No house cleaned, no food prepared or bought! No bills paid and the consequences of that.

Try to stay calm and in control, don’t let them get to you and patiently explain that if they want all the things that they see others have, then now is the time to create a solid educational foundation on which to build their careers. Only drop-out if you feel like ‘burn-out’ because your health is important.

Best wishes and hope you manage to open the information I mentioned above.
