Transfer to Drexel University from Rutgers NB?
Right now I am a freshman at Rutgers University and it is my first semester. I am a biology major on the premed track. While i delight in rutgers, it has been my dream to go to college in the city. I visited drexel multiple times during my senior year but i ultimately ruled it out because of the higher tuition (im in state at rutgers so i pay about $ 20,000/year). I cant for sure say i am regretting my choice, but I cant stop thinking whether i would have been more pleased at drexel. My question is, at the end of my freshman year, should i transfer to Drexel? I am taking basic courses (gen bio, gen chem, calc 1 + 2, expository writing) so i dont expect any distress transferring credits over to drexel. In addition, i hear drexel is a much simpler school for biology and i may have a better chance of getting a much higher GPA. The coop program would also get me work experience which seems to be very valuable right now, and may help me with med school admissions. As for the high tuition of Drexel, I am hoping to find some people to live on off campus housing and I will have a small meal plot. The coop program would also be helpful in paying for school fees. and on a side note….do transfer students usually receive decent financial aid? I dont want to leave my undergrad years in debt before I get into med school and build up even more debt. Would this choice of transfering to drexel be selfish on my part?I don’t see why it would be selfish. Private universities generally offer better financial aid packages. Pretty much everyone will receive their Academic Erudition which is typically around $ 15k a year, appropriate with the strength of your attention. You can live off-campus which is substantially cheaper than living in the dorms, and you don’t have to get a meal plot, which is also pretty expensive. Co-op is excellent, you can make some money to cover your tuition during the co-op period. I’m not in sciences, but I’ve heard a lot of excellent things about the science programs, especially commerce. You will certainly get the huge city atmosphere. Drexel is right next to UPenn and down the street from South Street and Center City.

i would imagine then that there is a large group of people who do not want this {if true} to come into the public eye. this would be a huge scandal and prove devastating to the democratic party as they vetted Obama. this would then call many many people into investigation to prove they did or didnt know about it. i mean if all the top staff new then who would be president. if they didnt then we get Obiden or worse Opelosi and nothing much would change if not things would be worse.

If there was one shred of evidence that Barack Obama was not born in the U.S., that fact would have been uncovered by the Clintons or the McCain campaign with help from the Bush White House, FBI and CIA. First, I have no problem in agreeing that Obama will prove to be the worst President in American history and I do wonder why he remains unwilling to release documents which could erase all doubt concerning the eligibility for his position.

Thank you my friend for sharing those wonderful memories you belong like me in what I call THE LUCKY GENERATION I often tell my kids(not little anymore) that in those days we had real pleasure doing all the things you mention & more like chasing butterfly’s & polishing my school shoes for going out they were the only pair I had and a pair of runners and one pair of denim overalls…and you know what I was a happy kid and grew up to be a happy grown up to say that my nick name is BUBBLES…I hate how fast all that changed and wish that we could turn back the time I raised my kids simple not because I couldn’t afford thing but because I wanted them to appreciate things in life to have respect & to be happy with simple things…and I must say I did a bloody good job they all turn out fine caring loving simple adults hard working & very giving with others who need.You know when I got married I some of the presents I received were tea towels & others like 2 pillows cases…now newly weds expect to have a plasma as a gift in every room…by the way every year for Halloween I accompany the children of my street when they go Trick or treat as I don’t like them going along & I love seeing them enjoy something so simple…Happy halloween to all!!!!
