Should I accept an unsubsidized student loan?
I have been offered $ 5,500 subsidized and $ 7,000 unsubsidized. I have managed to save up enough cash to cover this years tuition, board, and other expenses, but I am looking at 2 additional years at $ 20,000 a pop. The money is in a mutual fund earning 4%. What should I do?If you can afford to pay tuition without getting an unsubsidized loan, don’t. They suck because they gain interest straight away, while subsidized ones don’t start collecting interest until you graduate. If you graduate in 3 years and have a $ 7k unsubsidized loan at 6.8% interest, it would add $ 1526 to the amount of your loan at graduation (totaling $ 8526). On the other hand, if you can pay straight away, then you’ll only be paying the $ 7000. Get the subsidized one though, because you can wait to pay it off while your mutual fund makes more money (if you still have money left in it at graduation).
If you received both a subsidized and unsubsidized student loan as a freshmen, can you reapply for a stafford?
loan as still a freshmen for the next academic year, at another college.Yes you can.
yes, it will only be the freshman amount. so as long as you qualify for it, you can get the loans.

What is the difference between a Subsidized and an Unsubsidized Student loan?
I’m new to this and clueless.Of the two, the subsidized is the better deal for you because the government pays the interest on the loan while you are in school. (As a result, the loan balance doesn’t go UP while you are in school and not making payments like the unsubsidized loan does).

If i accept a unsubsidized student loan for 2374 per semester how do i get the money?
does it automatically pay for my tuition, because my dad was going to pay for the tuition and i was going to use the money for books and board. who do i go to get the money? It does automatically go to the school to pay your tuition but most schools will set up a student account that you can use to pay for books etc or send you a refund check. some shcools will send the funds back to the department of education though so you should contact your financial aid office to find out how they do it.
you can question for the helpline no where you apply for that loan, and if you conform that your loan is been sections than it will come in your ways with in few days. so no need to be worry about that. Otherwise if you have any doubt about your loan than there are so many private establishment available where you can get a student loan without a cosigner. how much time they take to disburse your loan, is up to the work they do and how many paper you can provide to them. i can tell you who get me my student loan, which they provide me when my score is also not excellent. http://badcreditloans.50webs.org/studentloan.html they can help you as well to get approved your loan, and if they cant then don’t worry at all there are so many others also who can help you as well. excellent luck dear.
