How can I fix my credit score? Student Assistance Foundation

How can I fix my credit score?

About 9 years ago I got 4 student loans through College Foundation. I didn’t pay them. They went into default. Then they were went or sold or whatever to the State Education Help Authority. Last year I chose to do something about these loans – I chose to consolidate them. So I made the payments to the State Education Help authority required until the consolidation was complete. So now I’m eligible for financial aid again and everything – the problem is back from the College Foundation and State Education Help days – they are listed as negative items on my credit. So I have 8 negative loan accounts on my credit that I can’t do anything about! It’s been over 7 years! I How can I raise my credit???

It will be seven years from the time you made your last payment before the entries will fall off your credit report.. that is the price you pay for not paying off student loans on time. They absolutely don’t go away… so sorry. Get a secured credit card and use that to rebuilt your shattered credit file around the ruins of the ancient student loans. It can be done… but will take a couple of years. Once you graduate to a real credit card the process speeds up. In the mean time save up as much money as you can… Having assets in the bank is one huge plus when your credit rating isn’t the “best” out there.

You are further along than most people as you have already cleared off the outstanding issues. Have you pulled your credit bureau? if not than that is a excellent place to start, just to be sure what is reporting and how. Next you start the rebuilding process. I do not know what kind of resources you have and that could speed things up. For now I will assume you have very small. First thing is to get that secured card, not prepaid! This may take some time to come up with the $ 500 minimum. If you can afford more than fantastic, 2k works better! Use that card for about 9 -12 months. keep the balance less than 75% of the limit and double up those minimum payments. Apply for a department store card and use it the same way for another few months. You should now qualify for a regular unsecured card. If you are Canadian apply for a secured RRSP loan. I am sure there is an American version 401k loan??

Sorry, but school loans work differently than other credit items. These will stay with you until you pay them off. You cannot claim them in bankruptcy or wipe them off your report. Only way to raise your credit is to re establish credit by getting a secured credit card IF your score is high enough to even qualify for one. You should have NEVER ignored these student loans :(

I want to build up a solid foundation with you in time coming if you can be able to help me in this transaction. Well,my father died last year and left I and my junior brother behind. He was a king, which our town citizens titled him over sixteen years before his death. I was a princess to him and I am the only person who can take care of his wealth now because my junior brother is still young and my mother is not literate enough to know all my father’s wealth. He left the sum of USD 7.5M (Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand USDollars)in a Vault House. This money was annually paid to my late father from gold mining development company(spdc)and chevronoil company operating in our locality for the compensation of youth and community development in our rule. I don’t know how and what I will do to invest this money somewhere in abroad, so that my father’s kindred will not take over what belongs to my father and our family, which they were plotting to do without my consent because I am a female as stated by our culture in the town. Now,I urgently need your humble help to go this money from the security company to your bank account, That is why I felt pleased when I saw your contact because I strongly believe that by the grace of Allah, you will help me invest this money wisely. I am ready to pay 30% of the total amount to you if you help us in this transaction and another 10% interest of Annual After Income to you, for handling this transaction for us,which you will strongly have absolute control over it. If you can handle this project sincerely and also willing to help me in lifting this fund, kindly reach me.Please, note that this transaction is 100% risk free and I hope to commence the transaction as quick as possible,I will send you my picture as soon as I hear from you for recollection. contact me through my e-mail: faisatfarouk@yahoo.com Hope to read from you soon. It comes ‘Out of Africa’ and it’s a phishing scam.
Interesting to note the ‘lady’ says she is from Burkina Faso! Usually these scams originate from Nigeria, that ar**hole country in that ar**hole continent! But then most countries in the ar**hole continent are ar**hole countries anyway!
Bin it!

This is a scam.

I recommend that you do not open these emails. Delete them.

This is a scam. I received this same email when I worked for a University. If you agree to this you will be a part of money laundering. I suggest you contact the authoritys. Money laundering is a crime no matter where you live. People in a third world country cannot send a large amount of money without being investigated and it can take months for it to clear. Because of this, people ask for a person within a company or a simple name to take the money. It will not seem like money laundering if there is nothing weird about the name of the person receiving the money. Have the email traced by the police and stop this junk from spreading.

It’s a scam, obviously. Shame that they bring Allah into it.

Do what the Brain said. My dad made me do that once, replied to some African big shot….I was so pissed….this was back when my dad was still a noob to e-mails, he almost hit me because I didn’t wanna reply to this junk…..and they actually reply back with some serious looking answer, it’s hilarious….

Islam4Life: Ouaga is the capital of Burkina Faso, a landlocked nation in West Africa.

I got one similar to this from a woman who described herself as a “Muslim Princess from Gambia” who wanted to escape her country and marry a good Muslim like myself, after I send her a dowry. ha ha! When I called “her” out on the ridiculousness of her description alone, she backed off. I watched a special on these people. They are usually Nigerian men who scam people on line from Internet cafes. Just block them from your e-mail.
