Withdrawing from a course, would it affect my tap financial aid?
I am currently taking 12 credits but I am considering in withdrawing from a course, would this affect my tap award?Yes it would affect your financial aid. You need to be a full time student in the whole semester or they will cut off part of your aid if you drop a class or become a part time student. I suggest not to drop because you will get much less aid. If you choose to drop that should be okey as well, because financial aid money should go towards school not other intentions.
Can you receive financial aid (Tap, Pell, etc.) for Graduate School?
I just finished college, and I want to go to Graduate School. But I’m dirt poor, and the only way I paid for college was through financial aid and a small erudition. Is their any way I can receive tap and pell grants for graduate school?Absolutely! Just fill out a FAFSA form like you did for undergrad. There are many loans/grants out there for grad school. You might also be able to get a erudition from the grad school that you go to, many of them have endowments from past graduates that they give out. Excellent luck!
You can receive financial aid for graduate school but you cannot receive GRANT money. You will be eligible for student loans and possibly a erudition. The reason? You are considered an self-determining student and no longer dependent upon your parents. For more in rank please just type FASFA in search and click on how to apply. Remember the goverment has a deadline and so does your state. So file soon. Always, K
As long as you are a registered student, no matter how ancient you are or what level you are in, you can get a student loan. Here are the steps you need to take to get a loan: 1) Fill out the FAFSA. This will determine if you are eligible for financial aid. Go here: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ 2) Once you are eligible for aid, choose a government-based student loan. The best loan to get is a Federal Perkins Loan. These have low interest rates and the government will help you pay it back as long as you stay enrolled in school. You also don’t need a cosigner or excellent credit for it. For more info go here: http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/perkins_student_loans.aspx 3) The next best loan to get is a Subsidized Stafford Loan. This has many of the same benefits as a Perkins Loan. Learn more here: http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/subsidized_stafford_loan.aspx And yes, you can get a grant or erudition, which is free money that you won’t have to pay back. You can read about them here: http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/financial_aid/college_scholarship.aspx And here are some excellent sites to check out: http://www.fedmoney.org/ http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_ss/welcome.jsp http://www.freegovmoney.net/ http://www.educationplanner.com/education_planner/paying_article.asp?sponsor=2859&articleName=Grants_and_Scholarships http://www.studentawards.com/ http://www.college-scholarships.com/ Excellent luck!

Congratulations on your decision to enter a graduate program, it is a great investment for your future. Unfortunately, after you finish your undergraduate education the government will not award grants for higher level programs.
The government does offer the Graduate PLUS loan, which carries a 8.50% fixed rate. This is a credit based loan and they will conduct a credit check to make you qualify for this loan.
In order to make graduate school as affordable as possible, I would suggest consolidating your loans though the Federal Family Education Loan Program, or FFELP. This federal program will provide you with great benefits like deferment while you’re in graduate school. It will also increase your credit score, which is important when applying for graduate school loans. For more information on graduate loans, visit the source below. Good luck, I hope this helps!
