Is it possible to get loans for summer courses, or will it mess up your financial aid for the regular academic year?You sure can, you can student loans for any time of the year as long as you qualify for them. Just, alot schools for summer time, student maxed on stafford loans for the year and have to resort to private loans. But there isn’t a restriction on when you can get a loan based on time of year.

My sis is trying to get into school (crying her eyes out) at the local community college. They are saying she can’t get financial aid or loans right now b/c she is not a matriculated student and wants to start classes in the summer. (she didn’t do very well before – flunked out) Can you please help>>>>>>All of the “emergency” student loan programs I have every heard about are run by the particular school. If they aren’t offering one too her, they don’t have one. If her grades are poor, she needs to raise up her GPA to become eligible for fin aid again. Even if its one class at a time (pay as you go). One class shouldn’t be more than a couple of hundred dollars. Maybe you could pay for half while she pays for half. ?
