If you become a police officer, can your student loans be forgiven?
I read on a student loan pamphlet that outstanding Perkins loans can be paid off, is this right? No. amusing!!!!!!!!
no…Dude Perkin’s loans can’t even be erased after bankruptcy, You need to pay them as soon as you get the money cause they are raising the interest rates…
I don’t reckon just because you become a officer your loans will be paid off. But sometimes, the agency that hires you, may work out a deal to help pay some of the debt depending on what you agree to do to get it.

Will I qualify for a Perkins student loan?
I am an apprentice at a state school and will have about $ 9000 in unmet need (after grants and stafford loan) next year. EFC of 0. Thanks!Only your school will be able to tell you this. Perkins money is VERY limited and its availability is based on previous students payment history. So many schools award it only to those who apply VERY early (Feb/March). Some don’t participate in the program at all or if they do, don’t have any money available to new students.
Perkins student loans options that could make the program more financially independent : report to congressional requesters (SuDoc GA 1.13:HRD-92-6)

No one will remind this .
No – don’t you think there’d be alot more cops?
No, the only way your student loans can be forgiven is in DEATH. You read that right, not even bankruptcy. Start planning a way to fake your death now…
